Come Cruise the Rutland Riviera with us!
Wednesday, 26th June 2013
Our cruise on the Rutland Belle combines a delicious multicourse supper with an opportunity to enjoy the glorious scenery around Rutland Water from an unfamiliar angle and maybe
see our resident Ospreys. Tim Appleton MBE, Manager of Rutland Nature Reserve and Tim Mackrill, who runs the Osprey project, will join us on our cruise to act as spotters and help with identification.
Unless the weather is foul we sit on deck and enjoy the glorious, constantly changing views, the diving birds and each other’s company.
It can be cool when the “Bell” fires up her twin diesels and surges forward at 4 1⁄2 knots so don’t dress too skimpily!
Tickets: £90.00 include a £10 donation to Rutland Water Nature Reserve, cruise, supper which will be several different plates of Aaron’s delicious creations and summer wines. We leave the pier at Whitwell at 7.00pm sharp and the ship opens the gang plank at 6.30pm. We return you to your car at 9.30 for 10.00pm. We can provide binos but if you have your own bring them along and perhaps a hat.
If you would like to follow the cruise with an overnight stay at Hambleton Hall, we are offering a special rate of £225.00, based on 2 people sharing one of our standard bedrooms, including full Hambleton breakfast.
