Xavier Borie is a significant figure in Bordeaux and since he took the helm at the family properties of Grand Puy Lacoste and Haut Batailley he has steered these fine Pauillac names to greater glory. Now they have even drawn the attention of Robert Parker so maybe the days when they were also well known for offering excellent value are coming to an end.
