Senior Chef
We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and creative Senior Chef to join our team at Hambleton Hall, a Michelin starred restaurant and hotel, based in the beautiful county of Rutland. Hambleton Hall is renowned for having the longest retained, single, Michelin star in the UK, earned and maintained thanks to Aaron Patterson, our Executive Chef Director, and his amazing team’s tireless attention to detail from the stocks that form the base of all sauces to the pastry chefs who create everything from scratch daily. You will be joining a team of professionals who are committed to providing our guests with an experience to remember and the reason they keep coming back for more!
As our Senior Chef, you will:
- Be passionate about food, creative with attention to presentation and style.
- Assist the Head Chefs/ Senior Sous Chef in managing food preparation and production, ensuring our high standards of quality and consistency are met every time.
- Be hands-on, happy to assist, monitor and oversee all food preparation and operational kitchen activities.
- Ensure that work is conducted in a clean and tidy way as well as ensuring legislative and government guidelines are adhered to including the Food Safety Act, Health & Safety at Work Act, COSHH and Fire Regulations (up to date training is provided).
- Have at least 2 years’ experience of working at a similar level.
You will be a team player, able to deal with the pressure of working in a very busy kitchen and strive for quality and perfection in every single dish. You will encourage the junior members of the team in their training and development and be able to demonstrate initiative, flair and possess excellent customer service skills.
Bar staff – Full time
Help us create wonderful, lasting memories for our guests by joining our amazing bar and restaurant team. You will be using your skills and knowledge to serve our guests with a wide range of drinks – from cocktails to coffee! Some experience of bar work would be an advantage but having a great personality and being a strong team player is much more important to us as we can provide full training. This is a full-time position, working alongside your colleagues on a rota system – working 5 days out of 7, with shifts that will cover some weekends and late evening finishes. You must be over the age of 18 years to be considered for our role as you will be serving alcohol.
Your role will be:
- Welcoming our guests with a warm, friendly and professional approach.
- Confident in making recommendations to our guests while taking orders.
- Preparing and serving drinks to our usual high standards and providing an after-meal coffee service.
- Ensuring all billing is accurate and provided to our reception team in a timely manner.
- Working closely with the restaurant team, anticipating our guests every need and ensuring we work together to create a memorable experience for all.
Hambleton Hall – Waiter / Waitress
Hambleton Hall is looking for a, permanent, full time Waiter / Waitress to join our busy Michelin starred restaurant.
You will be joining a talented, award winning, team. Training and working alongside a great group of professionals who are committed to providing our customers with a standard of service you’d expect in a luxury 5-star Country house hotel.
