The management team lead by example; they are hands-on to ensure a smooth operation, resulting in a respectful staff and happy guests.

You will be rewarded with a wonderful working environment, a good salary, a training programme, nutritious meals on duty, and subsidised staff accommodation in a converted stable block in the grounds may be available or use of your own transport due to the hotels rural location.  The following positions are full time, working 5 days a week, mostly split shifts with some straight shifts. Staff uniform will be provided.

What you will be doing:

  • Working with the team to provide an outstanding, professional level of service to our guests.
  • Preparing a wide variety of aperitif, cocktails and digestifs.
  • Learning our menus and sharing your knowledge confidently with our guests.
  • Preparing the bar for service, taking pride in presenting the Front of House and terrace areas.
  • Serving our guests efficiently.
  • When the time is right, clearing the tables in a timely and efficient manner to ensure all areas are ready for our next guests.
  • Ensure bills are managed accurately, with the correct charges provided to our reception team in a timely manner.
  • Purchasing and managing of stock.

  • Efficient, organised and with the ability to multi-task.
  • Calm under pressure, paying attention to detail with good listening skills.
  • Confident with great customer service skills, passion and enthusiasm to provide our guests with amazing service time after time.
  • Confident and able to guide our guests through our exquisite menu.
  • You will need to be able to commute independently to and from our hotel.
  • Our restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner service – you will be required to work shifts which covers weekends, evenings and public holidays on a rota basis.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift, are you able to work full time? For us, this means working 45 hours per week, on 5 days out of 7 and will include evenings and weekends.

We are based on the beautiful Hambleton Peninsula above Rutland Water so you will need your own transport, or we have subsidised staff accommodation (dependent upon availability at the time). You must be eligible to work in the UK, we cannot offer sponsorship.
