This year’s garden visit starts with coffee at Tim & Stefa Hart’s garden at the Old Hall in Market Overton at 10.00am.
We will then make the short drive to Exton Park, in the beautiful village of Exton. Exton Park is the home of Viscount & Viscountess Campden. The house was built in the early 19c following the destruction of the Noel families original house by fire. The picturesque ruins still stand. The house is surrounded by a fine park ornamented by 18c Noels with ‘follies’ such as the Dovecote and Fort Henry. 19c Noels contributed a very fine collection of trees, now at their best and more recently Zara, Viscountess Campden contributed a charming small flower garden/parterre.
Our final stop will be Hambleton Hall, arriving around 1.00pm for drinks followed by lunch, after lunch there will be plenty of time to look at the Hambleton garden and kitchen garden with head gardener Rob Skinner in attendance.
