This year’s garden day starts with coffee at Hambleton Hall at 10.00am, a tour of the garden with head gardener Rob Skinner, before departing for Stockerston Hall at 11.15am, a short drive away. This wonderful garden has been quietly reimagined over the past twelve years to include the extended landscape and views, the partly walled garden previously held livestock and has been redesigned with a double herbaceous border, an orchard and cutting garden, the courtyard is a simplified design, with box, yew, Santolina and summer planting, there is a small parterre garden to the south east, and a white border to the west of the house.
We will return to the hotel for an aperitif before lunch at approximately 1.15pm.
Following lunch there will be the opportunity to drive on to Tim and Stefa Hart’s garden at the Old Hall in Market Overton.
